Geohot: “Jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 невозможен”

Джордж Хотз, известный под ником Geohot, который первым осуществил jailbreak и разлочку оригинального iPhone, и является автором Blackra1n для iPhone 3GS, сделал шокирующее заявление. По словам Geohot, для новой прошивки iPhone 3.1.3 нельзя сделать jailbreak с помощью Blackrain и вряд ли удастся сделать вообще.

Geohot справился с jailbreak’ом всех предыдущих прошивок (включая новый iPhone 3GS), но прошивка iPhone 3.1.3, по словам хакера, содержит дополнительную защиту, которая не позволяет реализовать обычный jailbreak. Хотя Blackra1n разблокирует iPhone 3GS (вплоть до iPhone 3.1.2), смартфон остается привязанным к jailbreak. Это значит, что если Вы сделали jailbreak для iPhone 3GS с помощью Blackrain, то в случае выключения (или перезагрузки) устройства Вам придется делать его снова.

Важное замечание по jailbreak для iPhone: для тех, кому не терпится установить новую прошивку iPhone 3.1.3 (плюшек совсем немного), Dev Team предлагает сделать jailbreak iPhone 3.1.3 для предыдущих моделей iPhone и iPod touch с помощью Redsn0w 0.9 (кроме iPhone 3GS и нового iPod touch).
