Apple выпустила обновление прошивки 3.1.3 для iPhone и iPod touch. Обновление не добавляет новых функций, а вносит некоторые исправления. Ключевое изменение в прошивке – улучшение точности показаний аккумулятора для iPhone 3GS. Также решено несколько проблем при использовании японской клавиатуры и запуске сторонних приложений.

Новая прошивка iPhone 3.1.3 закрывает несколько дыр безопасности для эксплоитов, использующих TIFF и MP4-файлы и повреждение памяти. Еще две уязвимости были исправлены в WebKit: одна связана с FTP-серверами злоумышленников, а вторая – активирует удаленную загрузку аудио и видео в приложении Mail (при отключенной функции).

“Новая прошивка iPhone 3.1.3 сбрасывает jailbreak и разлочку iPhone”, – предупреждает iPhone Dev Team. Оба инструмента PwnageTool и redsn0w несовместимы с прошивкой версии 3.1.3, за исключением jailbreak для первого поколения iPhone или Touch. Владельцы этих устройств могут использовать ПО для текущей прошивки 3.1.2 IPSW.

Dev Team также предостерегает пользователей от установки новой прошивки iPhone 3.1.3 на телефоны с jailbreak и/или разлоченные устройства до обновления redsn0w и PwnageTool. redsn0w производит jaibreak iPhone 3G, но блокирует unlock. Для iPod touch второго поколения необходимо дождаться обновления redsn0w от Dev Team.
