Windows Phone 7 лишится многозадачности?

По сообщению нашего источника, Microsoft может намеренно ограничить некоторые возможности Windows Phone 7 для борьбы с конкурентами. Отголоском давних слухов стала информация анонимного инсайдера о параметрах системы: интерфейс WP7 будет во многом повторять Zune, а сама ОС лишится многозадачности. Для получения обновлений будет применяться система push-извещений (как в iPhone).

Новая версия операционной системы будет более закрытая, чем Windows Mobile 6: производители телефонов не получат доступ к домашнему экрану для установки своих интерфейсов (например TouchFLO от HTC). Приложения на ОС будут проходить через “службу доставки”, наподобие Windows Marketplace, что в корне меняет привычную схему загрузки софта через браузер или с других источников. Файловая система будет ограничена в пользу простого централизованного хранилища данных.

WP7 сможет похвастаться совместимостью с Xbox Live и получит поддержку социальных сетей и XNA программирования. Это нововведение позволит разработчикам писать игры с тем же кодом, что в Xbox 360, хотя сенсорный экран и разрешение дисплея приведет к наличию адаптированных версий. Приложения Windows Mobile не будут обратно совместимые, но портирование старых приложения на новую ОС возможно.

Амбиции Microsoft в части Интернета также неоднозначны: “один шаг вперед, два назад”. Компания собирается обойти по скорости работы iPhone 3G. Flash и Silverlight ограничены работой внутри браузера, и в первой половине года будут частью Windows Mobile.

Теперь, когда Microsoft предлагает свои драйвера, сторонние разработчики смогут не только быстрее поставлять телефоны, но и ускорить процедуру получения обновлений. Windows Mobile давно критикуют за неудобную схему апдейтов, которая требует согласования разработчиков софта и железа и вызывает большую задержку.

Предоставленная информация подтверждает ранние слухи о регрессивной стратегии Microsoft в борьбе с Android, Apple и другими более современными платформами. Microsoft нацелилась на телефоны Android и iPhone, и в то же время ликвидировала некоторые преимущества Windows Mobile. Android с webOS имеют правильную, простую многозадачную систему и позволяют загружать приложения из сторонних источников. У Apple нет такой модели, но, по мнению аналитиков, может появится в iPhone 4.0.
