Желтый стикер с надписью “Apple Store скоро вернется” был предвестником долгожданного обновления MacBook. Самый популярный лэптоп Apple получил быстрый процессор, улучшенную графику и увеличенное время автономной работы. Цена лэптопа осталась прежней.
Так же, как обновленный недавно 13″ MacBook Pro, MacBook работает на Core 2 Duo с частотой 2.4 ГГц (ранее 2.26ГГц). Так же, как 13″ MacBook Pro, MacBook снабжен видеокартой Nvidia GeForce 320M и, благодаря увеличенной батарее (63.5 Вт/ч), обещает до 10 часов автономной работы.
В отличие от MacBook Pro, MacBook остался с тем же объемом памяти (2Гб) и диском(250Гб). Цена устройства не изменилась – 999 долларов. Возникает закономерный вопрос: а представляет ли сейчас большую ценность MacBook?
Существенная разница между 13″ MacBook и 13″ MacBook Pro только в цене – 999$ против 1199$. Конечно, увеличение объема памяти до 4 Гб, как в 13″ MacBook Pro, можно оценить не более, чем в 100 долларов. За лишнюю сотку 13″ MacBook Pro имеет алюминиевый корпус uniboby, подсветку клавиатуры, порт FireWire 800 и слот для карты SD.
Кроме этого в MacBook Pro установлен сабвуфер – какое-никакое подспорье для крошечных динамиков лэптопа. Все эти фичи легко суммируются до 100 долларов. Трудно не заметить, что точкой притяжения MacBook является только цена, побуждающая идти за ним в магазин, где правильные консультанты наведут покупателя на мысль о MacBook Pro.
Единственное, что удручает в этой ситуации – отсутствие адекватной цены на MacBook. Скажем в районе 800 долларов. Если задуматься iPad стоит 500 долларов, а компьютер планшету нужен, по сути, для установки обновлений ПО. Это значит, что любой, ориентированный на цену покупатель iPad, в пару к планшету предпочтет PC. Этого хочет Apple?
Другая вещь, о которой стоит подумать Купертино – обновление MacBook Air. Нишевый ноутбук снова остался без внимания. Последний раз MacBook Air обновлялся в июне прошлого года на WWDC. В этом году, похоже, история может повториться.
По давней традиции Apple все новые разработки компания хранит за семью печатями. Поэтому трудно предугадать возможное увеличение времени автономной работы самого тонкого Мака. С появлением iPad, единственного истинно портативного компьютерного девайса, становится все сложнее узреть нишу, в которую вписывается MacBook Air в перспективах Apple.
