Western Digital приняла на вооружение Sata III

Если Sata III только начинают появляться в топовых рабочих станциях, то найти жесткие диски с этим интерфейсом практически невозможно (кроме нескольких SSD). Тем не менее, ситуация обещает в скором времени измениться, поскольку Western Digital анонсировала 2Тб жесткий диск с интерфейсом Sata III вместо обычного Sata II. Производитель будет адаптировать новый формат для остальных моделей в будущем году. Sata III не обещает огромного прироста производительности и в лучшем случае только большой кэш жесткого диска даст выгоду от высокой пропускной способности Sata. Пройдет еще время, прежде чем появятся адаптированные жесткие диски со скоростью передачи 300 Мб/с.
