Пользователь iMac случайно скачал Mac OS X 10.6.3

Необычный случай произошел с читателем издания TUAW. Владелец 2.8GHz i7 iMac загрузил на свой Мак обновление OS X 10.6.3!

“Я купил новый 27-дюймовый iMac на прошлой неделе”, – пишет читатель. – “Прошлой ночью я решил обновить ПО и увидел, что доступна новая версия Mac OS X 10.6.3. Я нажал ОК и появилось окно загрузки “Downloading **PRERELEASE** Mac OS X Update…” (загружается предрелизная версия Mac OS X). Сейчас мой iMac работает на Mac OS X 10.6.3. Я не программист и никак не могу объяснить случившееся”.

TUAW поясняет, что это не мог быть разработчик Apple:

“Пользователь купил свой iMac в Apple Store онлайн и никогда не заходил в магазин. Тот, кто отправил скриншот, не является работником Apple и не имеет доступа к RSA Secure ID или VPN Apple. Он загрузил обновление из дома, со своего макинтоша”.

Обычно такие обновления не появляются в Software Update. Предрелизные билды относятся к внутренним сборкам Apple и отправляются на тестирование за 24-48 часа до того, как обновление станет доступно широкой публике через Software Update.

Размер Mac OS X 10.6.3 1.19Гб. На скриншоте окна “Об этом компьютере” указан номер сборки 10D572. Этот внутренний билд рассылали в Apple вчера (через два дня после предыдущего релиза). Такой частый выпуск сборок свидетельствуют о скором появлении официального обновления Mac OS X 10.6.3. Остается догадываться, почему эта сборка оказалась в руках, а точнее на iMac обычного пользователя.
