Объединятся ли Apple и Microsoft против Google

Год назад большинство бы усмехнулись, услышав идею союза Apple и Microsoft для борьбы с Google. Google и Apple имели в составе директоров одних и тех же персонажей, включая CEO Google Эрика Шмидта. Microsoft, с другой стороны, была конкурентом Apple со времен выхода Windows.

Многое ли изменилось за годы? Как предполагают RWW и PCWorld, идея не такая уж и невероятная, как может показаться. Apple и Google больше не друзья, у них нет общих директоров и, самое главное, они конкурируют в ключевых областях. Главный продукт Apple – платформа iPhone, и Microsoft является здесь прямым конкурентом. Google, с другой стороны, будет соперничать с Apple iPhone.

Это противостояние усилилось после того, как Google приобрела Admob, опередив Apple, а Apple, в свою очередь, поглотила Lala после первых ставок Google. Ранее в Купертино отказались от Latitude и Google Voice на iPhone. Google начала выпускать продукты на Android. В этом году Apple приобрела Placebase, скорее всего, для замены Google Maps на iPhone.

У Google на подходе новая ОС, которая будет запускать WebKit браузер Chrome – прямой конкурент Safari. У них есть бесплатные офисные приложения, которые соперничают с платными аналогами Apple, плюс компания предлагает бесплатную альтернативу Apple MobileMe.

Microsoft и Apple уже выполнили всю работу для поддержки Exchange на iPhone, а Google Apps до сих пор не работает на iPhone должным образом.

Станет ли для кого-то сюрпризом, если Apple предложит Bing в качестве поисковой альтернативы для Safari? А что насчет разработки iPhone-версий Word, Excel и PowerPoint, которую затеяла Microsoft? И это только начало.

Если Google продолжит вторжение на территорию двух гигантов, стоит ожидать усиления кооперации Купертино с Редмондом.
