Избежать ненужных бекапов Time Machine можно исключением из резервного копирования разделов Windows. Тот, кто использует Parallels Desktop или VMware Fusion на Маке удивится катастрофическому уменьшению свободного места на диске Time Machine.

Происходит это потому, что каждый запуск Parallels Desktop или VMware Fusion изменяет дату создания и размер файла виртуальной машины. К сожалению Time Machine не наделена интеллектом и не знает об этом. Она считает эти копии новыми файлами и послушно создает бекапы. Размер этих файлов, как правило, больше 10 Гб.

Поэтому для устранения этой неприятности достаточно исключить из резервного копирования файлы с расширением .hdd если у Вас Parallels Desktop и .vmvarewm если VMware Fusion:
